Seriously, I don’t know what could be easier or more precious than this adorable DIY craft for Valentine’s Day! Recently inspired from different projects I saw on the internet, I decided to give this cute project a try. They turned out so much better than I ever imagined. They were made with no glue and came together in minutes! It’s also a great way to use left-over yarn. These Valentine’s Day Heart Mason Jars are so darling and sweet-looking that I just might keep them out and about … long after Valentine’s Day!
You won’t need much, but these are the supplies I used for my project:
- Mason Wide Mouth Jars (quart size, and/or smaller)
- Baker’s Twine – Red/White
- Heart Foam Shapes
- Heart Felt Shapes
- Leftover yarn (white, red and/or any color that suits you)
- Doilies (a variety of shapes, sizes and colors)
For future projects, I plan on using heart-shaped doilies and a variety of decorative and glittery felt shapes. By doing so, this will add an entirely different dimension. Truly, there is no limit to the ways one can decorate these jars! It’s a fun and delightful craft project for the entire family. Just gather your preferred shapes and colors and start layering. Place the doilies first; then add the heart shapes. I used no glue at all. I simply held everything together with my fingers and wrapped and tied the twine/yarn in the back. If I wanted to, I could reuse all my materials later for an entirely different project.
These Heart Mason Jars are a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. They can even be used for any day of the year, and in any room of the house! I have used them in the dining room, living room, kitchen, bedrooms, and even the bathroom (holding small individual soaps!)
Whether you decide to use these sweet and adorable jars for holding lights, candies, potpourri … or anything else, one thing is for sure. This easy DIY project allows you to show some love for those you treasure the most. In return, these crafty Valentine’s Day Heart Mason Jars will make you everyone’s favorite cupid. ♥
