I have a fascination for the color of green … and with all the magic it can do for your spring decorating. With longer and brighter days around the corner, I definitely am suffering from a case of Spring Fever. It is a malady I am happy to live with.
I recently added a few essentials to my table – a runner, green vintage dishware, and ferns from the front yard. Instantly, my table went from dreary winter to fresh as spring.
Our weather has been so lovely lately. I went outside and pulled a few ferns and other leaves of green. When tossed in an antique green pitcher, they add a lovely pop of green to the table. Green plates and glasses came next, and a few limes and avocados were placed under a glass dome for even more interest.
I retrieved my vintage green glasses and put them all on display, sitting on a narrow shelf above my window. From Fostoria, Indiana Glass, and more … it did not matter which pattern the piece was. If it had the texture and color I wanted, it was put proudly on display. All mixed together, they are quite beautiful. I especially like how rays of light penetrate through them and transform the entire room. It looks like a fresh mix of Spring sitting in my window!
Now all I have to do is sit back and enjoy what is about to unfold – the beauty of Spring.
Soon there will be birds frolicking in my birdbath, singing sweet melodies for all to hear. Life that has faded and withered from a cold Winter will now regenerate into an energizing force. It’s time for renewal – and I am ready.
