Keep those slippery tops on the hanger with rubber bands! If you’re like me, you probably have a stash of rubber bands on hand. Right now I have a bold-colored assortment in a clear jar, and they are getting ready to celebrate another birthday!
Much like humans, rubber bands get stiff with age, and have a tendency to break. I decided to put them to good use before it’s too late; you might want to consider doing the same thing. Let me ask you, do you have tops or clothes in your closet that are constantly falling on the floor? Strappy dresses and the like – if placed on a smooth hanger – love to dance in the closet. Finally after they are finished slipping and swaying, they end up in a heap on the closet floor.
Ready to stop this crazy closet mayhem? Grab your steadfast rubber bands and place one on each end of your hanger. You can do it straight up-and-down, or at an angle (like in my picture.) I have found the thicker the rubber band, the better. Put on your slippery piece of clothing and see what happens.
No rubbish – your clothes stay put, and don’t slip off. So … put your rubber to the “hanger” and get going. 🙂
