These are the 10 oz. Fostoria American Goblets, bearing hexagonal feet. These are substantial pieces, approximately 6 7/8 inches tall. Fostoria’s Goblets had long stems, which add to their stature and beauty. Though introduced in 1915 – almost 100 years ago – they still look timeless today.
One of the things I like best about the clear crystal pieces is their versatility. I know I have said this many times before, but it bears repeating. Look at these pictures – one goblet is empty, the other is filled with a vibrant beverage. The visual difference is dramatic; yet each glass is beautiful in it’s own right. Empty or full – it does not matter. They are stunning either way.
All of the drinkware in the Fostoria American Line is lovely. The Goblets, pictured above, feature a stem. There are some pieces in the American line that did not have stems, such as the 5-oz Tumbler. Many pieces were made – from cocktail glasses to baby tumblers.
