These are the 10 oz. Fostoria American Goblets, bearing hexagonal feet. They are substantial pieces of glassware, approximately 6⅞” tall. Fostoria’s Goblets have long stems, which add to their stature and beauty. Though these treasures were introduced back in 1915, they still look timeless and elegant today. The many facets of glass within their cubed design pick up all light sources nearby, creating a beautiful and magical table setting.
One of the things I like best about the clear crystal pieces is their versatility. I know I have said this many times before, but it bears repeating. Look at the picture below – one goblet is empty, the other is filled with a vibrant beverage. The visual difference is dramatic; yet each glass is beautiful in it’s own right. Empty or full – it does not matter. They are stunning either way.
All of the drinkware in the Fostoria American Line is lovely. A wide variety of items were produced in this pattern – from cocktail glasses to baby tumblers. The American 2056 pattern kept the Fostoria Glass Company alive during the Great Depression. With gorgeous items like these in their production line, it is easy to understand why.
