This is one of the pieces in the Fostoria American line – the 3-Toed Cake Plate. It is approximately 12 inches across. The 3-toed cake plate had a long production life and it is still fairly easy to locate in today’s aftermarket. While not considered a rare piece, it will prove to be quite an asset. It is very versatile when it comes to serving your guests different food items. You can serve many desserts other than cake on this plate – from appetizers to cupcakes and more, the possibilities are endless.
Beware – for there is also a similar 3-toed cake plate in the American Whitehall pattern. Many people selling the “Look-Alike” piece often classify it as a genuine Fostoria piece, when in truth – it is not. Do your homework. If you would like to learn more about the differences between these two patterns, especially on this particular piece, please refer to my Digital PDF Report – 3-Toed Cake Plate.
