The days of summer are now upon us – with rising temps, and hot humid days for weeks to come. There are times when you feel the heat will never end. In order to avoid a total meltdown, one has to envision images and colors that cool their senses and well being. So right now … I am definitely Feelin’ the Blues!
Whenever I want to cool off – I imagine being in the cool blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. If I can’t be there in person, those coastal shades of cool will be brought into my living space!
The July 4th festivities will be happening next week, and right now I am drawn to these beautiful tumblers from Colony and Indiana Glass. With colors that range from Blue to Riviera Blue, your only problem might be in determining which shade of blue will reign supreme. If you are like me, I find it hard to make a decision of which one I like best. So … I might use all three! Even sweeter – because nothing is ever one color in the blue waters of Mother Nature.
Why not bring some charm back into your home with one of these tropical blue combinations? These glasses are from the Whitehall and American Whitehall pattern (they are no longer being produced). Not to fear; however, as you can still find them online, at antique stores, thrift shops, estate sales and eBay.
