Fall Tablescapes – here is another version, inspired by a simple ceramic pumpkin. It became the main focus of the round table, sitting on a vintage green glass cake stand. The cake stand was supported by a vintage wooden Lazy Susan, which was then adorned with food and other elements of the Fall Season. A variety of autumn leaves were tucked in at the base.
Corn Husks were used at each place setting, sitting on top of the cranberry-hued linens. The napkins were draped around the plates as if they were a shawl, and the corn husks acted as a decorative pin holding the elements gently together.
Vintage plates made by Harmony House – in the Aurora pattern – were used. I love the golden color, and especially the dark textured border. The contrasting colors of the plates and napkins make for a striking presentation.
With candles softly lit, beautiful vintage glassware was added. From Anchor Hocking to Fostoria Glass, the array of colors and textures was magnificent. These photos show why I am such an avid lover of Fostoria and other vintage glassware.
Day or evening, the little pumpkin did me proud. Casual and relaxed dining – yet so very rich in color. May you and yours be blessed with a bountiful table during this harvest season. Wishing you much love and happiness …
