It's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas | Simmer up a batch of holiday aromas with this easy recipe!

The Smell of Christmas – it is such a wonderful and distinctive aroma.  When your senses catch a whiff … you instantly think of the holidays.  If you don’t use a real tree during the holidays, there is another way to fill your home with this joyful scent.  The Smell of Christmas can be simmered up with just a few ingredients!  It will keep in the refrigerator for several days; just add water as needed.  This is an easy and fun recipe. Soon you will be saying “It’s beginning to smell a lot like Christmas!”

Regarding the Allspice Berries – we found ours at the local Walmart and Publix.

The Smell of Christmas

Do not let the pot become dry.

Ingredients:

  • 4 lemon slices
  • 4 orange slices
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 teaspoons whole cloves
  • 2 teaspoons allspice berries
  • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 1/4 cup fresh cranberries
  • 4 cups water

Directions:

  1. Add all the ingredients to a pot.
  2. Simmer on low for as long as you need, making sure to add more water as needed.
