About Julie
Hi there! My name is Julie Noyas. I’m a Tampa Realtor®, Fireman’s wife, Army brat, and mother of two furry animals. I was born in Yokohama, Japan; however, my formative years were mainly in Virginia. I have one brother, and one sister – both of which still live in beautiful Virginia. We are as different as different can be … which makes our family history very colorful and memorable.
I moved to Tampa, Florida in 1982 – and soon thereafter met my husband, Hector. Moving to Tampa was an interesting chapter in my life, and it took some gusto to do it on my own. It is these years that I deem to be the best of my life, and they have taught me many valuable lessons. My life here is extremely different from what I experienced in Virginia. My eyes were opened to a whole new world … and the rest is history.
I am also known as “Lucy”, most affectionally by my husband. I have been known to do some crazy things in my life … and so I was honored with the name. It is quite common to hear the Noyas phrase … “Julie just starred in another Lucy episode” or “she just did another Lucy”. After all these years, I have become fond of the title. Lucille Ball was a beautiful, funny and talented lady. If only I had half her talent!
I hope you enjoy my website, TampaHomebody.com. Here, I write about tips and ideas that you can use in your everyday life. In my Food section, I post step-by-step photos of recipes I have made throughout the years.
I am often asked where I come up with these ideas … and the real answer is “I just don’t know.” Some ideas spark in my dreams, others from magazines, and others in the shower. There is no rhyme or reason to any of it! I wanted to have one central place where I could post all my Tips, Thrills, and Tales – and for it to be a reference point for friends and family. This is the reason for my blog, as I had previously been posting my tips on Facebook. Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts with you. I hope you enjoy!
