Ballast Point Park

Are you in need of some relaxation?  Need a romantic scene at the end of a pier? Maybe a place to entertain toddlers and older children?  Whatever your reason, the Ballast Point Park will probably fit all your needs!  Get out and explore your Tampa Bay community today!

Ballast Point Park is located in South Tampa.  If you drive down beautiful Bayshore Boulevard to the very end, you will eventually run into it.  The address is 5300 Interbay Boulevard.  The route there is scenic, as you will be surrounded by all the majestic homes lined up on Bayshore.

The park is extremely clean; one of the cleanest I have seen in Tampa.  This would be a perfect place to have a child’s birthday party, as there are picnic tables, gazebos, bathrooms, playground equipment, barbeque grills and more!

If you want a snack, there is a concession and restaurant.
I hear the food is pretty darn good!

There is also a bait shop
for those that want to try their hand at fishing.

The pier is nice,
and goes out nearly 1000 feet into old Tampa Bay.

You can see the Tampa skyline … and might even
catch a glimpse of yachts as they pass by.

The park was originally named Jules Verne Park, in honor of the French writer, Jules Verne.  He wrote about Tampa Town in one his famous novels, “From the Earth to the Moon”.

If you need something to do in Tampa Bay, then you need to check out Ballast Point Park.  It is a very nice escape … in the middle of the suburbs.
